Learn Classes and Objects by Building a Sudoku Solver - Step 60

Tell us what’s happening:

Hello, gn.
I really dont know what to do here, i’m stuck. He say: “You should set the current cell value back to 0 after the innermost if statement”. But what’s the “current cell”??

Your code so far

class Board:
    def __init__(self, board):
        self.board = board

    def find_empty_cell(self):
        for row, contents in enumerate(self.board):
            try:
                col = contents.index(0)
                return row, col
            except ValueError:
                pass
        return None

    def valid_in_row(self, row, num):
        return num not in self.board[row]

    def valid_in_col(self, col, num):
        return all(self.board[row][col] != num for row in range(9))

    def valid_in_square(self, row, col, num):
        row_start = (row // 3) * 3
        col_start = (col // 3) * 3

                    return False
        return True

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I haven’t played with this project yet but I assume that “the current cell” is referring to a ‘cell’ in the sodoku game. Are you familiar with sudoku?
And perhaps ‘current’ refers to the row and col that are ‘currently’ in place.
So if you look at the previous logic, you can see that the cell was being set to guess earlier? So I suppose they want you to reset that cell now.
