the task says to remove the arguments to the gradient line, I removed it, but why doesn’t it work?

Follow the instruction: " Clean up your code a little more by removing the gradientDirection argument from both linear-gradient functions."

The ‘gradientDirection’ is actually the number of degrees only. You have deleted all colors. This is not required by the task—only “Xdeg” in both CSS selectors.
