Tell us what’s happening:
Hi everyone, so I am not stuck but rather trying to gain an understanding of the concept.
In the bb1 class selector in css we have set a background-color2 variable of " #66cc99"
.bb1 {
width: 10%;
height: 70%;
display: flex;
flex-direction: column;
align-items: center;
–building-color1: #aa80ff;
–building-color2: #66cc99;
}
We then set the background-color of .bb2 using the background-color2 variable
.bb2 {
width: 10%;
height: 50%;
background-color: var(–building-color2, green);
}
The building color 2 variable is never going to work as we have set this in the .bb1 class slector efectively making the requirement for the var(–building-color2) obsolute because we are effectively just writing out in longer terms, background-color: green;
What do you think the reason for this was am I jumping the gun here? Are they just using this as an example to show me the fall-back option?
What are your guys thoughts?
