Learn CSS Variables by Building a City Skyline - Step 40

Tell us what’s happening:

Hi there,

I’m stuck on step 40 of this lesson. I don’t think that my syntax is wrong, and the desired changes are appearing on the actual preview page. It’s just that it won’t accept my solution.

The step is to put a background: linear-gradient on the .bb1a selector. It looks like most people who get stuck on this step forget to use the var() syntax correctly, but that’s not the issue I’m having.

Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

Nevermind, I figured it out  : you have to remove the background-color property or it won’t accept the answer.

Thanks so much, was stuck on this too, haha, same reason, glad you figured it out
