Tell us what’s happening:
Hello. I am getting an error on step 78: " You should not alter the first repeating-linear-gradient". I’m pretty sure I’ve done the step properly. I’ve looked on YouTube and have seen people pass this step with the code that I typed. I’m confused as to what it is I’m doing wrong here. The other posts I’ve seen for this step have syntax errors and such, but this looks good unless there’s something I’m just not seeing. I feel like I’m being gaslighted. I’ve also tried resetting the step and retyping the code to see if that would allow it to pass but it didn’t work. I’ll paste the instructions below just in case:
You can add multiple gradients to an element by separating them with a comma (,
) like this:
gradient1(
colors
),
gradient2(
colors
);
Add a repeating-linear-gradient
to .fb1c
below the one that’s there; use your --building-color4
from 0%
to 10%
and --window-color4
from 10%
and 90%
. This will fill in behind the gradient you added last.
Your code so far
.fb1c {
width: 100%;
height: 80%;
background: repeating-linear-gradient(
90deg,
var(--building-color4),
var(--building-color4) 10%,
transparent 10%,
transparent 15%
),
repeating-linear-gardient(
var(--building-color4),
var(--building-color4) 10%,
var(--window-color4) 10%,
var(--window-color4) 90%
);
}
