Hi. so I understand in this step I am attempting to reference the form element through use of getElementById(). However, I am confused what I am inputing wrong ive searched this method on she codes, w3schools, and searched for it here on freecodeacademy and thought this would be the correct solution. can anyone guide me to figure out where my mistake was and how to fix it?

Look at the example code and think what is missing from you code inside the final brackets.

Also put a semi colon at the end but that may not have caused the fail.
