My code seems correct and matches other forum posts on step 82:

But I get this message which seems to tell me what I’ve already coded:

Your span should have the class attribute set to surplusOrDeficit.toLowerCase().

What have I overlooked?

For this lesson in particular the freeCodeCamp compiler only accepts double quotes instead of single quotes for the class attribute. Therefore, your code should look like this:
