Tell us what’s happening:
im on step 12 so far and i dont know what it means by “In the text of your p element, turn the words cat photos into a link to https://freecatphotoapp.com . When you are done, remove the old anchor tag and text below the paragraph.” Ive been trying to figure out how to do this for 10 minutes and im a newbie at this

To answer your question about the meaning of the instructions, take a look first at the code being provided in this step:

Now we can compare this to the exercise instructions and play a kind of matching game,
where you are required to match words from the instructions with their equivalent in the code.

So for eg the first line of the instructions says:
“in the text of your p element”

Okay, so what does that match in the code?
Well which one is the p element? This:
<p>Click here to view more cat photos.</p>

But is that the answer? Not quite. The instruction says “in the text of”, so what does that mean? This:
Click here to view more cat photos.

So that’s a point for me, I found the “text of the p element”.
What’s next?

The instructions say:
turn the words cat photos into a link

Let’s play this game again. Where are cat photos in the text of the p element we found earlier?

It’s at the end right? but not quite all the way, it is just before the period (dot) at the end of the sentence. Another point.

Now that we found the two words that we need to turn into a link (notice they didn’t say anything about adding a link, but turning into a link) instead they want you to do something amazing and turn those words into a link.

You were on the right track there because you know that links need anchor tags.
The problem is that you haven’t matched that with the words cat photos originally given to you. You have added more than was requested.

I would restart the step to reset the code at this point, then focus only on the text cat photos and make it into a link. (then you get all the points)
