the <a></a> tag turns whatever is between it into a link. On the actual webpage, if someone clicks on those words it will go to the webpage that is linked. you will not see the web address on the webpage itself, but you need to have the web address in the code. In your, case, you did do that, but you to out the words that need to be clicked on.
Example:

On the actual web page, if I clicked on “My photos” , it will go to that website
