I have nested the anchor (a) but don’t understand what they mean by the link’s text should be cat photos ?

you have missed the part of paragraph with the text " in our gallery"
and you should check the text on the begining of that paragraph the task is asking you to put something little bit different there.

I don’t get the link text should be cat photos ?

You have to nest “cat photos” the text inside the paragraph and you created another cat photos text inside the your link
