Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 23

Tell us what’s happening:

Okay so my problem is that my figure element should have an opening tag. Opening tags have the following syntax: <elementName> .

This was similar to a previous step, so I first added at the beginning of line 19. Didn’t work. Also tried the “a” at front and back. Just stumped. Help appreciated.

Challenge: Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 23

Link to the challenge:

you nested the img in an anchor element
but they asked you to nest it in a figure element?
Try doing that and if you are still stuck, post your new code again.

Okay so I believe I am getting closer, but I am now getting the notification that

“The lasagna img element should be nested in the figure element.”

<figure><a><img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/lasagna.jpg" alt="A slice of lasagna on a plate."></a>
        </figure>

hmm, you seem to have added an anchor element in there?
Did they ask for it? If they don’t specifically ask you for something, then please don’t add it.

Got it! Thank you so much for the help!
