Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 43

Tell us what’s happening:

I’m stuck on adding a type attribute with the value equalling to “submit”, so that it’s clear that there’s a submit button. It says my button doesn’t have a type attribute so I don’t know how to add it properly.

Hello @erie.ashleigh ,

You are on the right track.

Your code above has the type attribute assigned to the incorrect element.

You then need to fix the input element so that its syntax is correct.

Does this help?

Happy coding.

Buddy here you no to add extra input !!

But kindly put your type and it’s value in your ** opening button element*

Hope you understand !!

Ok so what would the be the correct element to attribute the type to?

Also what do you mean by syntax being correct for the input element? Would that mean adding a < to the end of the code?

You need to add type attribute with the value submit to your button opening tag. Reset your challenge and try again.
