Step 61 Instructions read as:

"In order to make a checkbox checked or radio button selected by default, you need to add the checked attribute to it. There’s no need to set a value to the checked attribute. Instead, just add the word checked to the input element, making sure there is space between it and other attributes.

Make the first radio button and the first checkbox selected by default."

I am getting the error code: “The first checkbox is missing the checked attribute”

I thought I just needed to type the word “checked” somewhere into the “input” element; how is my placement wrong, as how can I adjust it?

For the first ‘checkbox’ type attribute you have put the “checked” attribute in the opening ‘label’ tag.

Oh, I didn’t even notice- thanks so much! Fixed it and it worked!
