read the answer I gave another person with the same problem you are having.
If you are still stuck you can reply to me here but post your latest code please.
You have written an <a> tag but it is not the one that this exercise wants.
Here are the instructions again:
Make the text freeCodeCamp.org into a link by enclosing it in an anchor (a ) element. The href attribute should be set to https://www.freecodecamp.org .
And the original line of code you were asked to modify was:
No Copyright - freeCodeCamp.org
okay, so what does this exercise want?
1- we are given some text that is just plain text (no html tags in it)
2- we are asked to “Make the text…into a link by enclosing it in an anchor…”
What does it mean to enclose? It means to add the html element on the left and right of the words. For eg. if I want to make my userid into a link I would begin
with my userid which is:
hbar1st
great.
Then I would enclose it with an a tag like this:
<a>hbar1st</a>
but that is not quite correct, what else do I need. Yes, an href attribute that points to something so maybe then I would write
<a href="https://www.freecodecamp.org">hbar1st</a>
and now I have a link.
So if you return to the instructions, which of the given words do you need to make into a link? Just enclose them as requested and you will pass this step.
