replace the . at the very end with >

is needed because its the closing part for your img element, and the src that the challenge gave you does not show a . at the end

didnt help, still not working

@Cody_Biggs was completely correct, your code is missing the right closing bracket. Restart the challenge and make sure to have your opening and closing backets. The challenge starts with a blank img tag like so:

8:       <img>

and should be changed into

<img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg"/>
