Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 31

Tell us what’s happening:

I have tried placing the " terms-of-service link in both the “< label>” and “< input>” areas, and keep getting the error code “You should use an ‘a’ element to link to the terms and conditions”. What am I doing wrong?

You have mixed up your attributes and values in wrong elements.
You need to add the required text after your input element. Then wrap the terms and condition part of the text between anchor opening and closing tags. Lastly add href attribute with the value link given in the instructions. Reset your challenge and try again.
@apilav

Hi! I did everything you said, but got stuck on where to place the link again… I placed a href= link inside both the label and inside the anchor, but neither are working

Post your new code here, add three ``` back ticks in a separate line before and after your code block .
@apilav

<label for="terms-and-conditions"><input id="terms-and-conditions" type="checkbox" a href="https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/terms-of-service/"required /><a href>I accept the terms and conditions</a></label>"

<label for="terms-and-conditions" ><input id="terms-and-conditions" type="checkbox" required a href="https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/terms-of-service/"/>I accept the <a>terms and conditions</a></label>

Nevermind I got it! Thanks so much!
