Describe your issue in detail here.
Hi.

I’m really at a loss as to what I need to be doing here.

Can any one help? Every suggestion that comes back after every attempt gets acted on but just seems to be digging a bigger hole and now I seem to be in a pickle.

Thanks

Challenge: Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 38

Link to the challenge:

  • the ‘for’ attribute set to a value of ‘referrer’ should be added to the opening ‘label’ tag above the ‘select’ element
  • the opening <label> tag of the ‘textarea’ element should also have the for attribute with corresponding value of “bio”.

Is there a way I can add here the amended code because its still not working?

The hint also states;

The second input element should have an id of age.

Thanks

  • the opening label tag in the second code line is not closed: <label for="age" Input your age (years): <input id="age" type="number" min="13" max="120"></label>

You can post your updated code to give us a better idea of what might still be going on. You can use the </> button and paste your new code between the two lines it gives you.

  <fieldset>
        <label for="profile-picture" Upload a profile picture:/> <input id="profile-picture" type="file"></label>
        <label> for="age" Input your age (years): <input id="age" type="number" min="13" max="120"></label>
        <label for="referrer" How did you hear about us?
          <select id="referrer"
            <option value="">(select one)</option>
            <option value="1">freeCodeCamp News</option>
            <option value="2">freeCodeCamp YouTube Channel</option>
            <option value="3">freeCodeCamp Forum</option>
            <option value="4">Other</option>

        <label for="bio" Provide a bio:

Ive never done that befor sohope thats been added correctly?

You have a lot of incomplete tags in the code. I would go back through, and make sure that each of your labels, text areas and other elements are not missing the ending > of the beginning element.

Ok.

thanks for taking a look.

<label for="referrer" How did you hear about us?
          <select id="referrer"

The both elements haven’t got the closing right angle bracket >.

Thanks to both of you for the help.

I’ve finally overcome!
