Please Tell us what’s happening in your own words.

Learning to describe problems is hard, but it is an important part of learning how to code.

Also, the more you say, the more we can help!

You’ve added some extra HTML that you shouldn’t have. I would restart the step to get the original HTML back. The only thing you want to do is add the id and for attributes to the existing HTML.

keeps telling me the select element should have id for referrer. Ive tried putting input id="referrer a few different places but it doesnt solve it

   <fieldset>
        <label>Upload a profile picture: <input type="file" input id="profile-picture"/></label>
        <label>Input your age (years): <input type="number" input id="age" min="13" max="120" /></label>
        <label>How did you hear about us?
          <select>
            <option value="referrer" input id="referrer">(select one)</option>
            <option value="1">freeCodeCamp News</option>
            <option value="2">freeCodeCamp YouTube Channel</option>
            <option value="3">freeCodeCamp Forum</option>
            <option value="4">Other</option>
          </select>
        </label>

        <label>Provide a bio:
          <textarea></textarea>
        </label>
      </fieldset>

This is not in the right place, but its also not how you add an id to an element. Really you just need the id without the input. This id need to go inside the label thats asking the question “How did you hear about us?”

Same with these

input id="profile-picture"
input id="age"

There shouldnt be an input in the front of them because you are already inside the input element.

<fieldset>
    <label>Upload a profile picture: <input type="file" id="profile-picture"/></label>
           <label>Input your age (years): <input type="number" id="age" min="13" max="120" /></label>
     <label>How did you hear about us? <input type="select" id="referrer"/></label>
      <select>
        <option value="referrer" id="referrer">(select one)</option>
        <option value="1">freeCodeCamp News</option>
        <option value="2">freeCodeCamp YouTube Channel</option>
        <option value="3">freeCodeCamp Forum</option>
        <option value="4">Other</option>
      </select>
    </label>

    <label>Provide a bio:
      <textarea></textarea>
    </label>
  </fieldset>

I still get a error: The select element should have an id of referrer .
I have a Id so i dont know why it says it needs it?

This is wrong and shouldnt be there. All you have to do is add the id to the label. Look at all your other code and see how elements are given an id
