Learn Intermediate CSS by Building a Picasso Painting - Step 44

Hello there!

So, I was just proceeding with the Picasso project and wondered why making e.g. the top border transparent creates some kind of a triangle. In my way of thinking it should still be a rectangle.
Can someone explain to me why it isn’t a rectangle? I can’t find any related information on google. Should you speak German by any chance, please explain it to me in German as I might not be able to understand it that well in English.

Thanks in advance for your answer(s)
