Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 48

Tell us what’s happening:

Here is the code I’ve added:
const call = [padRow(call)];
padRow(call);

I keep getting this message: You should assign call the result of your padRow call. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

function padRow() {

}

// User Editable Region

const call = [padRow(call)];
padRow(call);

// User Editable Region

for (let i = 0; i < count; i = i + 1) {
  rows.push(character.repeat(i + 1))
}

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n" + row;
}

console.log(result);

Why is this sitting inside of [ ]s?

Instructions is asking you to call padRow function. not to assign the call variable to padRow function. That’s is for next step - 49
