Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 62

Tell us what’s happening:

I am not understanding and i have looked at other posts, still don’t understand. Ive tried multiple different ways.

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

// User Editable Region

function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {
 return " " + character.repeat(rowCount - rowNumber) + " " + character.repeat(rowCount - rowNumber);

// User Editable Region

for (let i = 0; i < count; i = i + 1) {
  rows.push(padRow(i + 1, count));

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n" + row;

The original string was:

return " " + character.repeat(rowNumber) + " ";

The string is in three concatenated parts, two being spaces.
You should modify the space strings (" ") only, by appending the .repeat() method directly onto each of them.
Do not modify the middle part of the string (character.repeat(rowNumber)).

I’d hit Reset and give it another go.

this works well :smile: :

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.
