Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 69

Tell us what’s happening:

In need of help :
function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {
return " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber) + character.repeat(rowNumber) + " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber);
}
should be alright but I don’t get why the parameter rowCount when called gets a value. I’d be more than glad to get some explanation there

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

// User Editable Region

function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {
  return " " + character.repeat(rowNumber) + " ";
}

// User Editable Region

for (let i = 0; i < count; i = i + 1) {
  rows.push(padRow(i + 1, count));
}

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + row + "\n";
}

console.log(result);

The purpose of rowCount in the function is to determine the number of spaces needed to pad the row correctly.
