How can i progress from here.

what is index[alphabet] supposed to get you?

sorry about that, how do i do this

You need to access the value of alphabet at the index index + shift. You need to write the variable name followed by square brackets and add the index inside the brackets. Again, the index you want in this case is the sum index + shift.
