instead of text[0] , pass text[0].lower() to .find() and see the output.

tu agregaste:

alphabet.find(text[0].lower()))

al final del código.
lo que tenías que hacer era modificar el valor de la variable index, siguiendo esas instrucciones.
tambien reviza tus paréntesis:

alphabet.find(text[0].lower()))
