Describe your issue in detail here.
I’m very confused on what to do here. I have no clue on what to do, and would appreciate a, somewhat, in depth way on how to do this step.

Your code so far

# User Editable Region

text = 'Hello World'

# User Editable Region

shift = 3
alphabet = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'

for char in text.lower():
    index = alphabet.find(char)
    print(char, index)
    new_index = index + shift

Hello,
The step wants you to try change the first letter in the string. This is done by using square brackets after the string.

string[0]

The number inside is the position of the letter you want starting from 0. In ‘Hello World’ 0 would be ‘H’, 1 would be ‘e’.

You just need to try change it to a different character.

string[0] = ‘a’
