Please Tell us what’s happening in your own words.

Learning to describe problems is hard, but it is an important part of learning how to code.

Also, the more you say, the more we can help!

I got a little dizzy here, I did as I was told

Can you please talk about how you are stuck instead of posting screenshots? Thanks

tells me to do so:
You should assign encrypted_text + alphabet[new_index] to your encrypted_text variable.

I did:

for char in text.lower():
    index = alphabet.find(char)
    new_index = index + shift
    encrypted_text + alphabet[new_index]
    print('char:', char, 'encrypted text:', encrypted_text)

Copy-pasting the instructions and your code isn’t talking about how you are stuck either.

I don’t see a variable assignment to encrypted_text.
