Yes, but you can’t have = and += in the same line/expression. You would transform an expression with += like this:

a = a + b
a += b

These are equivalent. Notice it does not become:

a = a += b #incorrect

Transform this in the same way:

encrypted_text = encrypted_text + alphabet[new_index]
