Tell us what’s happening:
I literally have no clue of what is being asked of me here. The lightbulb is telling me to create a ‘for’ loop to iterate over ‘range(max_iterations)’. Use ‘_’ as the loop variable. I have already did it.
“for ‘_’ in range(max_iterations):”
I also did a lot of iterations of that code so you could say i’m at my max_iterations lmao so i decided to get help.
This really stumped me for some reason, i think the lightbulb and direction are not really explained well.
Your code so far
def square_root_bisection(square_target, tolerance=1e-7, max_iterations=100):
if square_target < 0:
raise ValueError('Square root of negative number is not defined in real numbers')
if square_target == 1:
root = 1
print(f'The square root of {square_target} is 1')
elif square_target == 0:
root = 0
print(f'The square root of {square_target} is 0')
else:
low = 0
high = max(1, square_target)
root = None

for _ in range(max_iterations):
pass
