Tell us what’s happening:

Your code so far

<script>
  $(document).ready(function() {
    $("button").addClass("animated bounce");
    $(".text-primary").addClass("animated shake");
  });
</script>

<!-- Only change code above this line. -->

<div class="container-fluid">
  <h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
  <div class="row">
    <div class="col-xs-6">
      <h4>#left-well</h4>
      <div class=".well" id="left-well" .addClass("animated shake")>
        <button class="btn btn-default target" id="target1">#target1</button>
        <button class="btn btn-default target" id="target2">#target2</button>
        <button class="btn btn-default target" id="target3">#target3</button>
      </div>
    </div>
    <div class="col-xs-6">
      <h4>#right-well</h4>
      <div class=".well" id="right-well" .addClass("animated shake")>
        <button class="btn btn-default target" id="target4">#target4</button>
        <button class="btn btn-default target" id="target5">#target5</button>
        <button class="btn btn-default target" id="target6">#target6</button>
      </div>
    </div>
  </div>
</div>

You are trying to use JavaScript inside your html element (see below). You can not do it like that.

<div class=".well" id="left-well" .addClass("animated shake")>

You must do add the classes in the document.ready call back function just like how the following code added the “animated bounce” classes to all button elements.

$("button").addClass("animated bounce");

I see you added the following to the callback function, but you are not targeting the div with id=“left-well”. Instead, you are target the h3 element with class=“text-primary”.

$(".text-primary").addClass("animated shake");
