Need some assistance with the Counting Cards exercise

Tell us what’s happening:
Just starting out with JavaScript, so it’s still quite confusing to me. This is my code so far for this exercise. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Your code so far

var count = 0;

function cc(card) {
// Only change code below this line
switch(card) {
  case 2:
  case 3:
  case 4:
  case 5:
  case 6:
    return count++;
  case 10:
  case 'J':
  case 'Q':
  case 'K':
  case 'A':
    return count--;

var result = count + " " + bet;

if (count >= 1) {
  var bet = "Bet";
} else if (count <= 0) {
  var bet = "Hold";

return result;
// Only change code above this line

// Add/remove calls to test your function.
// Note: Only the last will display
cc(2); cc(3); cc(7); cc('K'); cc('A');
