Newbie here wanting to start getting into web dev

Hello,
my name is yorick and i decided to step out of my comfort zone and strive for something new and challenging and change careers when i get knowledgable enough! now my reason for this post is to ask shall i just start the full stack course shown on the main page of freecodecamp. and that will guide me through the starts and give me the guidance i need to improve? or should i look at some of the other courses first. like for example. the odin project! I am committed to put in the hours and use grit to make it happen. but improvement also comes from daring to ask for help. So would love to know some advice on where best to get started on freecodecamp

thanks for the help in advance and have a great easter

Hello Yorick ,
Welcome

I am following the full-stack curriculum and I can assure you it is awesome. I have learnt a lot in last 3 months. This course is awesome and full curriculum is in process. People are working hard everyday on it. You can join discord for more info.

You will learn HTML, CSS , JS e.t.c. and will be able to make beautiful amazing responsive websites in weeks. You should definitely give it a try.

I hope this helps.
Feel free to ask if any doubts left.
Happy Easter

Hi @yorick93 and welcome to the forum.

I would recommend the full stack curriculum as well. There are good lessons for each topic and then step by step challenges and then more difficult challenges where you draw on your knowledge to build something that you can customise within the framework given.

It gives you a good understanding. The exams are not ready yet but as you are learning that is not an issue for you at present.

I started with the archive curriculum last year and then moved over to the full stack when it came out in December. I’m still working through it.
