Hey,
you need to add an id-Attribute to the opening of the footer tag <footer id="...">.
Also keep the closing footer tag </footer> at the end of the line.

Hope this helps you.

you have still the wrong closing tag for the footer element

Hint: Use always the closing tag of an element with the corresponding elements their corresponding tags.

Example

<main>

<!-- Two elements are children of main element -->

<h1 id="colorful-heading"> I am a heading element inside of a main element</h1>
<p  id="introduction"> I am a paragraph element inside of a main element.</p>

<!-- We close now the main element -->

</main>

Another thing, something I did too on the past, don’t worry it is common beginner thing too: IDs and Classes don’t have closing tags because they are attributes, no elements.

I hope this works for you @jguaman16

thank you for your assists.

why don’t they have closing tags. what does the id attribute necessarily do?

ID and Classes are element attributes. I define them as “the adjectives of the HTML elements.” Let’s say that I want specific characteristics for all my paragraphs in my main element. I will use ID on all them. However, I want to emphasize one of my paragraphs. This one I assign the ID attribute that defines those desired characteristics.

Let me share you some resources. I hope this clear your inquiries.

Feel free to send me a message too for more resources that help with your understanding with HTML and CSS.
