Phishing & Malware Threats on Codepen

Hi!

I’ve been using codepen for the last three projects without a problem.
Yesterday, codepen was working for me without a problem.
However, when trying to get onto codepen today, Avast keeps notifying me of potential malware and phishing threats and stops the connection.

Is anyone else having this problem? :frowning:
Does anyone know how to fix or stop this so I can use codepen again?
Thank you!

This question is best suited for codepen support. Man-in-the-middle attacks can intercept messages between you and codepen, and insert fake messages in order to attack the assets (you and codepen). I would email codepen, not include any personal information, and provide proof of what you are seeing. Email is not encrypted, so be careful of what you email to support.

On a side note, I use a VPN and am able to access Codepen and repl.it. I am just not able to use location services or certian websites. VPNs are best for communication over untrusted network connections.

Hi Chris. Did you find a solution to this? I’m seeing exactley the same thing happen to me now!

Hi @jeffreyeyed, @chrys.pham and @isit_ric !

Welcome to the forum!

When it comes to technical issues surrounding codepen, freeCodeCamp doesn’t have any control over that.
I would suggest reaching out to their support team.

As for the projects, you can use alternative platforms like these:

Hope that helps!

Apologies for the late reply and thanks! Managed to fix it
