i have no idea why my tag does not work despite it is correctly typed i believe, i have already tried with the different browsers

If what is not working is the testing of the code to pass the lesson, it is because you have included the period (.) within the strong tag. I.e.

<p>Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at 
        
        <strong>Stanford University</strong>.</p>

Otherwise, I can see no reason why the display would not emphasise the text within the strong tag.
