I wanted to start the interview prep section on freecodecamp. Is there a way it could be switched to python language instead of javascript?

Nope. The core ideas are language agnostic and learning an additional language if you have a good grasp of Python isn’t too bad though.

All of the interview prep questions can be found on sites like Leetcode. Rosetta Code, and Project Euler.

Those site support other languages like python.
