Regular Expressions - Step 17

Tell us what’s happening:

I feel like I must be missing something obvious. I’ve adjusted indentation every which way in case that’s my issue. I’ve checked for any spelling errors or missing a colon or something. I even added the ‘pass’ because the error suggested it. As far as I can tell from other posts, my syntax is correct, but clearly it’s not happy.

Your code so far

import secrets
import string

def generate_password(length):
    # Define the possible characters for the password
    letters = string.ascii_letters
    digits = string.digits
    symbols = string.punctuation

    # Combine all characters
    all_characters = letters + digits + symbols

# User Editable Region

    password = ''
    # Generate password
    for i in range(length):
        password += secrets.choice(all_characters)
            pass

Passes the test for me (without pass, dont need that)

Maybe reset and try again, you may have changed something else accidentally

Weird, I tried removing pass before too and it didn’t help. This time it worked like a charm. Thanks! I might have done something else accidentally, very likely. lol
