Replace Loops using Recursion2

Tell us what’s happening:
Describe your issue in detail here.
Write a recursive function, sum(arr, n), that returns the sum of the first n elements of an array arr. Also -Your code should not rely on any kind of loops (for or while or higher order functions such as forEach, map, filter, or reduce.). e.g sum([2, 3, 4, 5], 3) should equal 9.

  **Your code so far**
function sum(arr, n) {
// Only change code below this line
function sum(arr, n) {
if(n <= 0) {
  return 0;
} else {
  return sum(arr, n - 1) + arr[n - 1];
}
}
// Only change code above this line
}

Ok, you copy-pasted the challenge description, but what do you need help with?

It looks a heck of a lot like you copy-pasted the answer you found somewhere into the function instead of writing your own. Unfortunately, the way you copy-pasted the answer is preventing it from working.

Alright what’s the correct answer

We don’t write solutions for users. But if you want to try to write and fix your own solution, we’re happy to help.
