Review JavaScript Fundamentals by Building a Gradebook App - Step 4

Tell us what’s happening:

Why doesn’t it pass? I don’t understand why it doesn’t work…

Your code so far

function getAverage(scores) {
  let sum = 0;

  for (const score of scores) {
    sum += score;
  }

  return sum / scores.length;
}

function getGrade(score) {
  if (score === 100) {
    return "A++";
  } else if (score >= 90) {
    return "A";
  } else if (score >= 80) {
    return "B";
  } else if (score >= 70) {
    return "C";
  } else if (score >= 60) {
    return "D";
  } else {
    return "F";
  }
}

function hasPassingGrade(score) {
  return getGrade(score) !== "F";

Review JavaScript Fundamentals by Building a Gradebook App - Step 4

You have modified your studentMsg function. Reset to restore the original code back. Then check if student have
passing or failing, return the required strings based on it.

Sorry, I still don’t understand. What should I change in order to pass?

Read the challenge instructions carefully. If you don’t understand something from the instructions, ask about that here.

you already have functions that calculate the average and the grade, you don’t need to duplicate that functionality, you can use those functions. Not an issue on the correct ohtput tho

do not round the average
