When I have the forked code loaded and made some simple edits in pen everytime I go back to the code to update my changes are lost? Why isn’t there a Save button anywhere? What am I doing wrong? Should I use a different editor?

If you have forked the pen, but still do not see the Save button, it likely means you either have not created an account or have not logged in.
You must be logged in to save your pen. 
Okay I see what I did wrong! I should have created a new pen and once I do that now I see the Save button! Thank you so much for the quick response!

if you have not yet seen it, the fork button is in the bottom right corner when you have a pen open, this will let you copy a pen to your account
