[Solved]I can't find out what I'm doing wrong here. Please help!

I’m trying to solve the Use Attribute Selectors To Style Elements lesson is Basic CSS module. Here I need to add[type = 'checkbox'] {margin: 10px 0px 15px 0px;} within the Style tags to pass the lesson.

I’m doing that. But still, I can’t pass the lesson. I’m confused if I’m making some mistake that I can’t find out or is this some bug in the platform?

I’m giving the full code here -

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style>
  [type = "checkbox"] {
    margin: 10px 0px 15px 0px;
  }

  .red-text {
    color: red;
  }

  h2 {
    font-family: Lobster, monospace;
  }

  p {
    font-size: 16px;
    font-family: monospace;
  }

  .thick-green-border {
    border-color: green;
    border-width: 10px;
    border-style: solid;
    border-radius: 50%;
  }

  .smaller-image {
    width: 100px;
  }

  .silver-background {
    background-color: silver;
  }
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>
  <p class="red-text">Click here to view more <a href="#">cat photos</a>.</p>

  <a href="#"><img class="smaller-image thick-green-border" src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>

  <div class="silver-background">
    <p>Things cats love:</p>
    <ul>
      <li>cat nip</li>
      <li>laser pointers</li>
      <li>lasagna</li>
    </ul>
    <p>Top 3 things cats hate:</p>
    <ol>
      <li>flea treatment</li>
      <li>thunder</li>
      <li>other cats</li>
    </ol>
  </div>

  <form action="/submit-cat-photo" id="cat-photo-form">
    <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor" checked> Indoor</label>
    <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor"> Outdoor</label><br>
    <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality" checked> Loving</label>
    <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Lazy</label>
    <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Energetic</label><br>
    <input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL" required>
    <button type="submit">Submit</button>
  </form>
</main>

Please help!

Hei debucodr,

you need to remove the spaces left and right to the equal-sign in
[type = "checkbox"]

But i don’t really know what exactly happens underneath.

Hope that helps you.
Good coding!

Yes! It did the trick. I didn’t knew that white spaces mattered in CSS.

Thank you! :+1::clap:
