Ubuntu: How to Install DevTools and Modern Web Browsers

We show you how to install various programming langauges, devtools and web browsers on Ubuntu.

Widely used tools:

Node JS

Python 2 and Python 3 come pre-installed on Ubuntu Desktop.

Modern Web Browsers

The most popular web browsers used by developers are Chrome/Chromium and Firefox Developer Edition.

Installing Chromium:

sudo apt-get install chromium-browser

Installing Firefox Developer Edition:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/firefox-aurora
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firefox
