You have a small error in your HTML code.

<form action="/submit-cat-photo" id="cat-photo-form" id="#cat-photo-element">

Remove the # from that ID attribute, it’s not used here. If you want to give any element an ID or class, just put id="your-id-name" or class="your-class-name".

The # is used only in CSS to target elements with the ID attribute. So, your HTML should look like this:

<form action="/submit-cat-photo" id="cat-photo-form" id="cat-photo-element">

And your CSS like this:

#cat-photo-element {
  background-color: green;
}
