Safari for me. I’m deeply entrenched in the Apple eco-system and love using Apple’s default apps for everything incl. web development. The Safari dev tools are great and the Safari Responsive Design mode is super useful when building mobile-friendly websites. That said, I also have Chrome, Firefox and Opera installed on my Mac, just in case I should ever need them.
I love firefox developer edition because of the grid tools but i like chrome cause of the console, you should install both try google canary is like firefox developer edition
Chrome and Firefox are pretty much on pair these days in terms of dev tools. They both offer amazing features to help speed up development. However, Chrome seems to have a much larger market share so I would stick to it as the main platform for dev/testing.
Every web development project hast to be debugged in every major modern browser —Chrome, Firefox, Safari and specially IE/Edge.
Checking how your site or webapp works on Opera Mini or UC Browser is important, since those don’t support a lot of features but are extensively used in some regions. Best practice is to run tests using as many different browsers as possible and at least two mobile devices, all screen size devices from tiny budget mobile phones to 4K TVs would be ideal.
I know, sometimes running tests and debug in every possible browser and device can become an overwhelming task but the closer you can get to that is better. Being said all of it, I don’t think there is a better browser for development, there’s a lot of options and at some extent it is a matter of personal taste.
I’m not a big fan of Chrome, but some of its dev features are very useful, especially to simulate different screen sizes. When I’m surfing the web I prefer Safari for its better integration with MacOS, but it’s dev tools are far from the best even on the Technology Preview version. My browser of choice for web development is Firefox Developer Edition, even the regular version. The CSS grid inspector is a game changer (as anything else related to CSS Grid, actually).
I would prefer Chrome.
These days I use Firefox for layout and Chrome for JS. Firefox’s Grid Inspector is a lot better than the basic one in Chrome. Mozilla is also working on a Flexbox inspector as well, should be coming out this spring.

I prefer Chrome. To be honest I use Chromium browser instead Google Chrome, what is the same thing from point of view of development. The chromium is faster and lighter layout. It seems to do stuff in better performance than Firefox. At the server side I love developing in PHP (using Slim Framework to build APIs). At the client side I develop in JSX (react, react-native, react-360). Really, the differences of performance between them is high noticeable!
I tried some browsers in my life: Midori, Opera, Firefox, Chrome/Chromium, IE, Edge and browsers based on these. The best (to me) is chromium.

I am a user of more than 10 browsers(not locals, top listed browsers) throughout everyday life, except I am a day by day user of Chorme because of its Extensions work, with google it is very simple and easy to use. and Furthermore I also attempts Mozilla and I experience some quick work with mozilla because it have’nt so much useful extension and generally i use 2 or 3 extension for my work and it is fast because it have very little burden as chorme have on which I runs more than 6-7 extensions, In short both are valuable and great as fast speed. yet a months ago I utilizes one more browser name brave which I have downloaded from online pursuit, interestingly, it is same as chrome completely and one all the more thing I like is builtin Ad blocker with Privacy and Track and cookies blocker you will really like this feature in browser like in mobile ads. These three browsers are secured and safe. and all contains developer tools. as I think no.1 to be Brave and Chrome Both,
and Mozilla on second due to extensions and other wise it is also amazing.

I am an Opera user. I use Opera Developer Tools and i am proud to inform you that they are the same as Chrome’s with the very same layout.
I have virtual desktops for home/email/work stuff on linux. Avoids getting distracted and ‘lost’ in tabs. I think virtual dimension works similarly in Windows, but I haven’t tried.
