Why is commenting used in HTML5?

Can anyone please explain how commenting works?

When the Browser parse the HTML, will ignore everything that is enclosed in

<!--    -->

Meaning that whatever you put in there is not meant for the browser, but most likely as a note for another human being :slight_smile:
