Add a Description to Your package.json

Hello,

I am trying to start the Node.js tutorial with adding a description to the package.json

but whenever I paste the project the result is: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

Any idea what is causing this? It also happens if I test the original package.json.

Kind regards,

Baran

Could you post the JSON?

The json code is:

{ "author": "Ba-ran", "//1": "describes your app and its dependencies", "//2": "https://docs.npmjs.com/files/package.json", "//3": "updating this file will download and update your packages", "name": "hello-express", "version": "0.0.1", "description": "A simple Node app built on Express, instantly up and running.", "main": "server.js", "scripts": { "start": "node server.js" }, "dependencies": { "express": "^4.16.4" }, "engines": { "node": "8.x" }, "repository": { "url": "https://glitch.com/edit/#!/hello-express" }, "license": "MIT", "keywords": [ "node", "glitch", "express" ] }
