am trying to use the jQuery remove function to remove my Html element but not working please what is wrong?

here is the code i have been using to try but not working

$("button").remove("#target4");

you need to select the element you want to remove and use remove on it, not put the element as argument of remove

also I think you deleted part of the starting code, that may have the tests failing
