Well I didn’t sleep before 4 am and I got up at 6 am… Small tip: have a really strong coffee at 2, 3 or 4 am, by the time caffeine kicks in it helps you to wake up It’s saved me a couple a times already.
I’m not really complaining though… I have ups and downs but right now I’m really enjoying myself.
i can totally relate. Taking care of yourself is really important though. There will always be more to learn, and your brain learns better after getting sleep and consolidating
the information you’re trying to learn. take breaks, do some thing physical or something creative.
for real! ever since I started learning to code, my motivation for doing many other things has drastically dropped . especially going to my day-job, they’re lucky i need the money, lol!
Absolutely!
there are times when it hits the morning hours of 4:30 am and my brain wont shut down…
Its hard to explain to your friends or family why you’d rather have a nap in between events than just go full day.
Naps are a part of my life now, 15-30 minute naps is all it takes to get your power back. Including a good nights rest (till that night comes:nerd:).

You are talking about programming and the effect it has on you as a human being, which is perfectly legitimate in my opinion. This forum isn’t Stackoverflow.
I sill get embarrassed about cluttering the forums…though I can’t really help myself. I never expected to have people still answer this thread for so long ! And I still have trouble sleeping.
Well, I go to bed at 12 and stay awake almost until 2:00 b.m.
Before this I used to go to bed at 10:00 a.m usually very tired. Right now is 12:30 here at Dominican Republic.
