The problem is with the syntax of the if-else statement
if example:

if condition:
    if the condition is true, do this

if-else example:

if condition:
    if the condition is true, do this
else:
    do this if the conditon is not true

the else part doesn’t have a condition,
it will execute, when the if-condition is not true

google for the syntax of the if-else statement
