Challenge: Basic JavaScript - Counting Cards

Link to the challenge:

I don’t think that this is valid syntax.

Same here

so what should i change on that

I would look up how that syntax works. Maybe try Googling “Javascript ++ increment” or “MDN Javascript ++”

let count = 0;

function cc(card) {
  // Only change code below this line
switch(card) {
  case 2:
  case 3:
  case 4:
  case 5:
  case 6:
  count++;
    break;
  case 10:
  case "J":
  case "Q":
  case "K":
  case "A":
  count--;
    break;
}

if (count > 0)
{
return count + " Bet";
}
else if (count < 0) {
  return count + " Hold";
}

else if(count == 0){
  return count + " Hold";

}

return "Change Me";
  // Only change code above this line
}

I have added 2 more conditions. it is working now.

I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').
