Best place to host images while practicing building websites?

I’m trying to build practice websites and I often need to share a Codepen link to get advice on problems.
Thus I want to host all the images/assets I’m using somewhere public. I thought Dropbox/Google Drive might work for this but it seems surprisingly complicated.
I don’t want to pay for hosting as they are just practice-sites (and I already have tons of storage space in Dropbox/GD). Where can I easily host assets (for imgs etc) that will work in a Codepen site?

Create a new repository. Upload the file (click the Upload files button) and when done click the file to open it. You now have to get the raw version. One option is to just append ?raw=true to the end of the URL in the address bar, press enter and copy the URL.
